Why Missions Ministries?

Missions at New Life Slide sma Almost 40 years ago I stood in church service in response to a sermon asking for people willing to serve God in missions. That night as I stood willingly and humbly before God, I said to God that I would go anywhere and do anything that he asked me to do for the sake of the Gospel.

Sometimes that has been an easy thing to do, sometimes that has been more difficult but it has left me a changed person, it has left me with a passion that I share with the apostle Paul when he said this in Romans 15:
“I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me in leading the Gentiles to obey God by what I have said and done – by the power of signs and wonders, through the power of the Spirit of God. So from Jerusalem all the way round to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ. It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation.” (??Romans? ?15:18-20)? ?

Missions work for me was birthed out of that vision. As a church, New Life has also been committed to supporting work in other nations. Currently we are actively involved in Nigeria, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the Ukraine with other nations also included in previous years.

What do we do?

Our desire is to equip, teach and develop leaders as well as provide some element of practical help with schools, education and families.

Our goal is for leaders and ministries to:

have a passion for His name to be declared and demonstrated in the nations
be committed to the Word of God and committed to ministering by the Spirit of God
focus on growth and change for themselves and bringing transformation to others
produce servant leaders who are not worried about positions and titles
be working with ALL parts of the body of Christ who love the Lord Jesus as their personal saviour
love the local church and are committed to serving God through it

Planning your Visit

A Warm Welcome

Where and When

We meet in person at 10.30am and online through Youtube from around 11am when we stream the teaching. Normally, for your first visit, we have recommended arriving 10-15 minutes early to ensure you get a parking space and find somewhere to sit before the service begins. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team and given a Welcome Pack with information about New Life.

We normally serve tea, coffee and biscuits from at the end of the service as it's a great way to meet people, or simply take time to find your bearings.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Welcome Team know on your arrival and they will help you to get set up. There are disabled toilets in the main foyer.

Our Service

Normally our service begins with a warm welcome from one of our team members and then lots of engaging activities during the next 1 hour or so that the service lasts.

We often have lots of engagement and involvement from all ages in the church and all our different cultures. Sometimes a person might pray out loud or read a small passage from the bible and one of our leaders will then give a message that is based on the bible and one that we can apply to our everyday life.

What about my kids?

Usually we have involve all the church family in an interactive programme often led by Community Pastor, Kerry Murray who can be contacted by mobile on 07810 120896 or on the church office number 01293 512574 or by email kids@newlifecrawley.church

During the times on Sundays their will be a suitable activity pack and also on occasions the children leave the main building to do activities such as play games, do crafts, sing songs and learn about Jesus. We also have a midweek club for Primary School aged children which runs fortnightly called "Cosmic Comets".

Relevant Children's workers are DBS checked.

We know how hard it can be for you and your kids to be part of a new group, so please do contact us if you have any questions about our children's work.

The kids group activities vary depending on the age but usually there is a friendly welcome, bible stories, testimonies, praying, music, craft, drama, fun games and free play.

Getting Connected

Small Groups

While Sundays are a great way to meet new people, it is often in smaller gatherings that you can really get to know someone. Being part of one of our small groups allows you to make new friends, share together and support each other. We have a variety of groups that meet throughout the week, some afternoons and some evenings. Check out Small Groups and see if there’s one that you could join, or we can put you in touch with a small group leader who will be more than happy to invite you along to their group.

Serving and Volunteering

If you want to get involved in the life of the church and help us make Sundays run smoothly, you can sign up to serve on a team. We are also very supportive of our local community by working alongside other agencies and projects in order to express the love of God in a practical way across the area.
